Empowering Professionals with

Expert Neurodiversity Training

Ensure your school community is inclusive and supportive for neurodivergent learners and those facing mental health challenges, with expert, high-quality training and workshops.

Why is training needed?

A comprehensive understanding of neurodivergence is crucial for adults working with children—not just for the child’s success but for the well-being of the entire family. When adults recognize and accommodate neurodivergent needs, it can reduce anxiety, prevent school avoidance, and create a more positive learning experience.

Misunderstandings, however, lead to unnecessary behavioral labels, suspensions, heightened EBSA and increased mental health struggles for both the child and their caregivers. This training helps educators see beyond the surface and implement strategies that truly support neurodivergent children (without increasing workload!).

Hi, I'm Sara Donnelly

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?

What sets me apart is the wealth of experience I bring from over a decade in education, supporting children's mental health and well-being. As a headteacher with a specialization in autism and neurodiversity—particularly in girls—I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges many children face. Additionally, my lived experience as a mother of neurodivergent children gives me a personal and empathetic perspective that enhances my approach as I fully understand the struggle so many parents face. I am passionate about empowering the child's voice, helping them find self-understanding, and fostering an environment where they feel seen and heard.

In my work with schools and teachers, I offer a unique perspective from both sides of the fence—having worked as an educator and having experienced the challenges families face first hand. This combination of professional and personal insight allows me to provide practical, effective solutions that truly support the children, families, and educators I work with.

Three Little Steps was founded on the belief that positive well-being and mental health comes from empowering children with practical strategies they can use in everyday life. My approach, both in training others and when working with children, is built on three essential steps: developing a trusting partnership, building knowledge and strategies, and fostering independence in applying these skills.
